David,
Thanks for your comment and suggestions.

Actually, we're now developing a new version that answers your requirements. Here are the new coming features (taken from our newsletter):

1. Comparison of baselines, streams and a mixture of the two.
2. Enhanced reporting capabilities including export to Word and Excel, sending reports by email and the capacity to filter results.
3. Full support of UNIX and Linux platforms.
4. Comparison of recommended baselines.
5. Automatic daily mail including a report of what artifacts have been changed.
6. A list of changes made to a directory (new / deleted / renamed files).
7. Compatibility with Rational Team Concert (Jazz).
8. Enhanced support to composite baselines.

CompBL more details and download: http://gomidjets.com/CompBL.html

A suggested added capability: One of our users would like to see all Activities on a stream since the last time he did a Recommended Baseline on that stream. This would amount to recently delivered Activities in our shop.

I suggested he create a new baseline (BL) and use Diffbl (or CompBl) to compare that new BL with his last Recommended BL. He could also use the GUI in Project Explorer.

This leaves him with a "Trash" BL on the stream (our BLs are Composites). For neatness sake he could then RMBL this "Trash" BL.

Couldn't this be readily implemented within CompBl? Perhaps: An extra button next to "Select Second Baseline" (call it "TIP") could create that new BL and place it in the "Second Baseline field". He could then choose the first baseline and we would be ready.

The temporary baseline could be removed by CompBL at the appropriate place (on exit, on a second pressing of "TIP", etc.).

If a "TIP" baseline already existed no new BL would be required.

There might be RMBL complications because of Composite or Component baselines.

Just a suggestion which would be useful to us.

Dear Tamir, you may want to have a look to ECMerge which also has this integration to ClearCase, and has XML pretty-printing. This is payware but really worth the money.

Hi Tamir,
There is a way to integrate VS 2008 and ClearCase without (!!!) CC integration package or/ and patch. I described that in very detail on my blog:

Check this out,
